Description
Inert .50 BMG cartridge (linked).

The .50 BMG or 12.7x99mm NATO round is based on the .30-06, but almost 5 times more powerful. The round was developed by John Browning and entered service in 1921, it excelled in WWII being equipped on many aircraft. Today it is mainly used in troop carried or vehicle mounted heavy machine guns, as well as long range anti-material rifles.
